Buying golf Club Sets As A Beginner
If you are just starting out at golf then you are probably going to look at the numerous golf club sets out there and be trying to work out which ones you should buy. As you are just starting out there are a few things you do need to perhaps consider before you go ahead and spend any money.
First of all do not go and spend a lot of money on a high quality set as you really do not know if you are going to like the game or not. It is always much better to go for a set at the lower end of the market or even check out the second hand market by asking at your local golf club.
There is also no point in you trying to buy all of the expensive drivers and putters that claim they can help your game in a number of ways. You really need to be working on your swing and trying to get some kind of technique going so you do not need those fancy clubs to start with.
Do make sure you buy your clubs from a good source and know the length of club that you are going to need so get yourself measured. If your clubs are the right length then you are going to hit the ball better as you are doing it at your natural height.
It is worthwhile getting a loan of some clubs and go to a driving range and see how you feel in swinging them. They should sit comfortably in your hand and should not feel too heavy for you so you can control them better.
Once you see if you are going to continue playing the game then you should perhaps look at trading them in for better clubs. Just be careful though as you could easily end up spending an absolute fortune in the quest to end up playing like the top professionals when in actual fact this is probably never going to happen.
